Top Three Things to Know About Me

Beyond my professional qualifications, I want the people of Hancock County to know the heart and values that drive me as a candidate for Sheriff. These three aspects of who I am reflect my commitment to faith, community, and hope, shaping my vision for serving our county.

  1. My Faith Guides My Service
My deep Christian faith is the foundation of my life and leadership. Through my work with Never Ending Faith and personal practices like creating prayer beads to symbolize life’s journey, I strive to live out the call to serve others with humility and compassion, as taught in John 13:14-15. This faith inspires me to lead with integrity and empathy, ensuring that as Sheriff, every decision—whether managing the jail or supporting rehabilitation—reflects a commitment to justice and redemption for all.

  2. I’m Deeply Rooted in Our Community
As a lifelong Hoosier with strong ties to Hancock County, I find joy in serving my neighbors through simple, meaningful acts—whether volunteering, helping those in need, or fostering recovery through A Better Life - Brianna’s Hope. My community involvement, recognized by awards like The Best of Hancock County Volunteer/Community Supporter (2021, 2022), shows my dedication to making our county stronger. As Sheriff, I’ll continue building trust through open communication and community-oriented policing, ensuring every resident feels heard and valued.

  3. I Believe in the Power of Hope and Redemption
My work in addiction recovery has taught me that hope can transform lives. Leading A Better Life - Brianna’s Hope, I’ve seen individuals overcome challenges through compassion and support, a mission I’ll bring to the Sheriff’s Office. I’m committed to a jail that prioritizes rehabilitation—offering programs for education, addiction recovery, and reintegration—because I believe everyone deserves a chance to rebuild. As Sheriff, I’ll champion initiatives that restore lives and strengthen our community’s future.

These values—faith, community, and hope—define who I am and why I’m running for Sheriff. I’m here to serve Hancock County with heart and purpose, creating a safer, more compassionate place for all.
